My last post was in August, and I've decided to pen down some of the more significant events that happened henceforth before I welcome the new year.
In September, just one week before Rong Rong turned 2, she fell sick with high fever and I almost thought she was going to suffer from seizure again. We rushed her to the hospital and thought it could be another round of viral fever. To my surprise, she was diagnosed with mycoplasma which was a form of bacteria infection that required the administration of antibiotics. Thankfully, she was discharged 2 days before her birthday, and was in time for our mini birthday celebration party at home. It was also my first time ordering birthday decorations from the ever most popular Taobao to keep costs low, and also catered a mini party buffet set from Stamford Catering who didn't get my order correct =/
In October, it was the first time darling had her examinations. I was quite worried when she fell sick and lost her voice just before the chinese oral examinations. Thankfully she recovered when it was her turn to have her oral. Something unexpected about dabao also happened. We were so shocked and amazed and proud that her results were so brilliant and she actually topped the whole Primary two level in her school!! Dabao really achieved her goal about going to the best class P3 Gracious next year.
In November, we were so looking forward to a relaxing family holiday at Melbourne. It was the first time we planned the whole trip ourselves with three days of self driving and two days of private tour. However, the supposed relaxing trip turned out to be the most stressful trip in my life. Rong Rong fell sick two days before our trip, and we were still at Thomson Medical Centre on the day when we had to fly off. Her fever was so high and doctor was suspecting that she had UTI. The nurse even prepared ice pack for us so that we can bring the medicine up the plane. To make matters worse, Rong Rong refused to take her medication on the plane even when I mixed her medicine with fruit puree. She even vomited on the plane! I was so worried that we would be quarantined when we reached Australia. Thank goodness she recovered in the first two days of our trip, and I must say being exhausted was an understatement.
In December, just two weeks after we returned from Melbourne, Rong Rong fell sick again with four days of high fever. (NOT AGAIN). After that, Mum also fell sick, followed by myself and then Le Xuan. It's been a long time since Le Xuan fell so sick with four days of high fever, must be the same virus that mei mei contracted. Luckily we still managed to carry out some of our planned holiday activities for Le Xuan before her holiday ended for e.g. watched the movie Co Co, ate her favourite buffet at lotus vegetarian restaurant, went rock climbing, had steamboats twice, christmas shopping, went Time Zone arcade and also bowling. Another thing worth mentioning and in fact worth celebrating was that dear finally cleared MDRT this year!!! We are so proud of Papa, his hard work had finally paid off, definitely a perfect example for our girls. :)
On this last day of 2017, I wish that my loved ones will be blessed with good health and happiness, our family will stay strong and united, our girls will continue to bloom and become better persons, and my hubby will continue to shower me with lots of TLC, lol. To an even Happier New Year! Cheers!! :D
