Almost 3 quarter of the year has passed!

Omg, almost three quarter of the year has passed but I have not written a single post! This year seems to be running on turbo mode.

I'll try to pen down as many things as I can recall for the past 9 months.  This is an emotionally trying year for Le Xuan and of course for me and Papa too. She had been streamed to the best class in Primary 3 where she had to cope with heavy school work, which was an exponential change compared to last year. She had to get used to new classmates and teachers which was very challenging for a socially awkward child. On top of that, she had to join a CCA where she started with Red Cross. But things got worse in Term 2 where she suddenly developed this anxiety disorder where she cried every morning to school and in school every single day. She would call me during recess time and lunch time and I could sense the fear and anxiety in her. I felt so hopeless and decided to bring her to a psychologist. Form teacher also changed her seat and asked some classmates to make friends with her. Her CCA also changed to English club as she had no friends/classmates when she was in Red Cross. The whole saga even dragged till SA1 exam period where she continued to cry and complain of tummyache. Thank goodness her condition improved after her exams and we were praying so hard and are still praying hard that this would not happen again. 心病是最难医的, really hope that our dear daughter can overcome all odds and grow to be resilient.

Of course there were also more positive and fond memories. Le Xuan got the chance to perform in Steinway, and she was so happy that papa and mama finally upgraded her piano to a steinway piano! Super expensive, $12000!!!! Darling also performed in her music school recital recently and we could see that she had gained alot of confidence through all these exposure. We're very happy that we can continue to develop Le Xuan in her area of interest and talent, and this can potentially help pave her future career too, lol.

Oh, I must also pen down that Le Xuan and mama just completed a POSB passion run for kids over the weekend! This was the first time we participated in such an event, and my objective was to set a good example for Le Xuan and train her resilience through running. I was a little stressed about this at first but a reminder to self was: Growth and discomfort are not mutually exclusive.

As for Rong Rong, she has definitely grown to be more articulate and cheeky this year, but this little girl sure has a bad temper compared to jiejie, which is something I have to work on, hehe. She loves sour food like tomato, yogurt and the pink lotus from Just Acia, and hates green vegetables and meat, tsk tsk. Her favourite colour has changed from orange to pink, and she loves to read like her jiejie. Playing of Bounce Patrol songs is a must daily, and it's so hard to get her to bathe every day.  She calls Papa Gerald and sometimes Jackson, and herself Piggie and Alicia, can't imagine what's next. She quarrels with jiejie very often (all siblings do), but poor jiejie seems to be the one who gets bullied or hit most of the time. Oh and one thing that hasn't changed since she was a little baby, that is, she hates to sleep and she loves to say "我不要睡觉". This little girl will be turning 3 this weekend, but we already had an advanced Dora themed birthday party for her last Sunday, haha but we plan to just have a small celebration within our own family from next year on.  Come to think of it,  Rongrong is going to start her preschool in 4 months' time, I'm sure it's going to be a challenge but I sure hope it can be a smoother transition as compared to jiejie last time.

Now, I'm looking forward to our family trip to Hong Kong (6D5N) in November! The girls will be delighted to be staying at Disneyland hotel and hope Le Xuan will have an enchanting and unforgettable birthday there. But meanwhile, she has to study hard for her upcoming exams, lol.
